Ava Galgani is a graduate from Michael Howard Studios' conservatory in Manhattan (NYC). She discovered her love for the performing arts at four years old while living in Spain with her family. At the time, she wanted to become a Flamenco dancer, but at six, when her family moved to Canada, she fell in love with acting and committed to the art, ultimately attending the Montreal School of Performing Arts.She is originally from Rwanda. Her family, including four siblings, was forced to flee the 1994 conflict. She gets her love and affinity for languages from her father who's a linguist. They moved to Canada because her father accepted a teaching position at Laval University in Quebec City. She grew up both there and in Montreal before finally moving to Vancouver, BC to learn English and pursue acting professionally.Ava appears in multiple television shows, short films, theater productions, and commercials. Some of the short films she worked on were featured in International Film Festivals: CHLOE AND ATTIE (which she also helped produce) screened at The Vancouver International Film Festival, The CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto, Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival and at the Vimeo Festival and Awards. MANDROID has been screened at the World Film Festival in Montreal. MARS TO JUPITER was shortlisted for the Guggenheim YouTube Play "Biennial of Creative Video" contest.At Michael Howard Studios in New York City, Ava was taught by great teachers including, Polina Klimovitskaya, Angela Pietropinto, Patsy Rodenburg, Fay Simpson, Robyn Lee, Gabrielle Berberich and Andrew Shaifer. Her ultimate goal is to act, produce, write and direct meaningful projects. Hide
