The series revolves around Inspector John Marlot, who is drawn into a dark and dangerous world of hedgehog bands, child prostitutes and kidnappers. John deals with a devilish scientist lurking somewhere around the meat market in Smithfield, and perhaps the seemingly disastrous process of relaunching the dead.
