In the third season, Laura joins in helping women to raise an active position in helping the town's women. Meredith and Karen, on the other hand, are trying to prevent Laura from doing what she does, but she won't on the whole. The newly elected president began to oppose Vicky Drury, Dave's wife, but Laura joins them at that time, and Laura faces a serious problem because of what she does at that big sporting event at that time.
