These are the dramatic events Laura Gibson coexists with and is a lawyer in the big cities. Laura moves to the small town of Pearl Bay for a new life away from the noise of big cities. Pearl Bay has been completely cut off from what it has been since the Port Dickin Bridge was closed just five years ago. Laura coexists with the inhabitants of this seemingly bizarre city, but soon learns that the city has lived on friendship since its inception.
