In the third season, Jesse comes face to face with Deblanc and Fiore, and then learns more about the entity that transcends the body. Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy are trying to find God everywhere, chasing them cowboys and killers from hell, the corners of the three saints. Jesse is making a risky deal with the Cowboy killer.

"Angeville" is a decent return for the series, and I'm still hopeful that the show can learn from the mistakes of previous years to tell a more effective story.

There's a dope scene where Tulip's petite frame is bucking OFF with a big gun, and it's just great TV. Better put some respect on the O'Hare family name!

After a somewhat lackluster Season 2, I was hesitant to continue watching this show. However, within the first few minutes of Preacher Season 3 Episode 1, "Angelville," I find myself glad that I didn't give up on Jesse Custer and the gang.

Preacher is off to a very strong start. And I think trimming season three down from 13 episodes to 10 is the right move.

So much has happened, and it's only the first episode. Given what we've seen so far, the trajectory of the season is up in the air. One thing is certain, though: whichever direction the show heads, it's not good.

One thing I've enjoyed about this series is the intricate mythology - how Hell worked last season to how Purgatory operates this season.
