It looks like retaliation trying to be made by that girl called Eve. The series begins with Eve, a 19-year-old US tourist targeted by serial killer Mick Taylor. Eve may be locked in a series of conflicts against this man, but she survives his attack and begins a reprisal mission in the end.

Many of the flaws stem from a frustratingly inconsistent narrative. The series can't decide if it wants to be a single heart-pounding tale of revenge, or a more meditative and sprawling journey throughout the remote Australian countryside.

It was a tough thing to pull off but Greg McLean and his crew have done an admirable job repackaging his 2005 horror film into a revenge-driven TV series.
