While it won't rewrite the rulebook or jumpstart an already viable obsession with pirates and the sea, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack is a lot of fun...and that's all you can really ask for in a simple pen and ink premise.

Precious little about this series is relatable to real life, and even attempts to include positive lessons are lost amid its chaotic pace.

Flapjack's animation is first-rate. In fact, it's so colorful it's almost mesmerizing; kids will stayed glued for that reason alone.
