It's a comedy cartoon series that tries to show the comedy situations of the young's life. Following a young called Tim who faces a new trouble at each episode. The beginning of the series comes with Tim explains to his girlfriend why he is with a prostitute.

The animation is rudimentary and the jokes aren't much better.

Wry, silly and politically incorrect in the extreme, "The Life and Times of Tim" takes HBO squarely into Adult Swim territory.

I realized how great it works as a cringe comedy. It's got it all: deceptively simple setups, ulterior motives, and head-shaking denouements. But, at just 12 minutes each, the episodes wrap before they can really set teeth on edge.

Sophomoric and crude, "The Life & Times of Tim" may be a viable alternative for fans of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

Dildarian's ultra-low-key approach hits the right notes more often than not because it's such a contrast with the insanity of the material itself. The first few installments are more hit than miss.
