The Last Man on Earth - Season 2
Following the struggle of Phil Miller, a young guy, who after the dangerous virus that attacks earth, the thing that leads the life of humanity to death, except him, so he struggles against finding other survivor to share life with, but incidents come to inspire him when he finds another survivor. Season 2 completes the incidents where Carol regrets on accompanying him to the island.

I can see this being a big turn off for a mainstream audience, but I love just how far they're going here with pushing the boundaries of a what you'd see in a half hour network sitcom.

Forte - either by design all along or in reaction to Season 1 responses - consciously injects what was missing from Season 1 into the first two episodes of Season 2, but he does so without upsetting an alluring, already-established tone and world.

The Last Man on Earth Season 2 Episode 1 was a very successful season opener that leaned on the series' undisputed strength - the amazing chemistry between Will Forte and Kristen Schaal.

"Is There Anybody Out There?" very wisely returns to [its previous] mode, but with the added bonus of Phil having essentially turned Carol around to his ridiculous old way of living.

The show's original concept and the comedic sensibility of Forte, its series creator and star, give us confidence that the series will retain the funny, no matter which direction it ends up going.
