Teen Wolf follows a teenager named Scott, who is bitten by a werewolf. In season 4, Scott and his friends return to a new semester of school with more human worries than supernatural, while also trying to help their new friend, Malia, integrate back into society.

It's starting to feel very much like the set pieces were written in advance, and that the justification for them was scribbled into the margins of the script much later.

It's trying far too hard to be edgy when the success of the show rides on the characters and their witty dialog. Thankfully, the premiere remained solid because of the new dynamic that was created by the loss of Allison.

As a one-off excursion to a new locale and an introduction to new concepts and characters it was a very fun and intriguing beginning.
