The original Teen Titans show was dark, emotional, funny, complex, and just plain entertaining.

Teen Titans is seductive because it looks so awesome, but, frankly, there's so much violence that parents might think twice about letting it into the home on a regular basis -- if at all.

I can turn my brain off and enjoy a youth oriented approach to some of my favorite fictional characters. [It] a good job of appealing to the core children's audience and adults who might be watching it as well.

As out-there as the style of the show seemed to be to many fans, the series did often touch on hallmarks of the comic on which it was based.
