Reno 911! - Season 1
We live in this series of comedy and criminal adventures with the Nevada police, giving a realistic view of what is happening in Renault seriously. The series begins with a powerful set of events when the police department gives only two tickets for an upcoming execution, the officers compete in a chase to win. On the other hand, Renault officers are experimenting to rid the area of fireworks that have been smuggled.

The wit in Reno 911! is not in the Mad magazine plots but in the sustained deadpan mockery of Fox's long-running Cops and other shows that follow police officers as they respond to calls from trailer parks, apartment buildings and strip malls.

when it hits its high marks it does raise belly laughs, providing that you allow yourself to be sucked in to this over-the-top world of freaks and larger-than-life characters.

The show is difficult to describe because what carries it is not the specific jokes, but the charisma and reactivity of the actors, who play off each other with so much zeal it's impossible not to fall in love with them.

So aggressive is RENO 911!'s low-budget affect that Cops looks positively polished by comparison... Here, jokes fall into dead space or turn bizarre, and characters are mostly conventional types.
