After a rollercoaster freshman season, the series reshuffled the deck with "The Plague," a densely plotted episode that worked almost as a standalone outing but also went far in establishing new threads for Reign's sophomore year.

Overall this premiere set the tone for what looks like a much darker season this year, and I liked it.
