"All In" is a fantastic entrance into New Girl's third season, with all the hilarious and touching moments that have made New Girl one of the best comedies on TV.

I've worried about the direction [it] has...[taken some of its characters], with Schmidt turning heel and Winston going insane. "The Captain" kept pushing both of those angles and yet it was by far the funniest and most satisfying episode [yet].

It wasn't the most polished - or even the most nuanced - New Girl episode ever. But a second viewing that made for even more laughs than the first gives me hope that this season has somewhere to go.

Luckily the hiatus has finally ended, and Tuesday's "Clavado En Un Bar" (Stuck in the Bar) brought the laughs.

The issue is that this mode of crafting an episode is leaving the characters with no place to go beyond this all encompassing relationship.
