After completing all 15 years of jumping from one incubator family to another in Portland, Oregon, Lux decided it was time to take control of her life and become a free minor. She leads her journey through the legal system of Lux to her biological parents, local radio personality Kate Cassidy and 30-year-old Bazeile, who stood in the middle of a night in high school. Although they have not seen each other for 15 years, Cate and Baze do not fall for a long time in the same controversial relationship they had in their teens.
