A finance executive was murdered in mysterious conditions without knowing reasons or persons behind this awful doing. After the police received the news, the case is given to the new officer, Wesley Cole, who was an international CIA agent. He participate with Roger Murtaugh trying to solve this case. Lethal Weapon didn't create Cole as a Riggs 2.0, and it should be fun to see how his dynamic with Murtaugh differs from Riggs'.

In the Same Boat" had the deck stacked against it, but it surprisingly managed to provide a story that honored Riggs while believably moving Murtaugh into a new space

It's formulaic as hell, but at least the series has mastered its formula.

A very strong premiere that finds the right balance between grief and action. It's a very encouraging start to the season and it handles the difficult task of not only introducing a new cast member, but also putting an old one to rest with extreme skill.
