It may be hard to come back to life again after you have lost all that you have in your personality. David Collins, sentenced to seven years in prison, is trying to recover himself from prison and tries to cope with life outside the prison after spending days in prison.

These performances were compelling in spite of - not because of - the script, which had the characters metamorphosing almost from scene to scene, all apparently as a device to spin the viewer this way and that.
