The women of the Great Paxford Women's Institute will keep the Home Fires burning for another few episodes. Season 2 opens in June 1940 when Britain faces the threat of imminent invasion. As the Battle of Britain looms, the villagers of Great Paxford live under a cloud of fear and suspicion.
