The series revolves around a man named Gary Hobson, whom his wife had driven from his home. That day, Gary Hobson had to move into a hotel room. On Monday morning, Gary awoke to find a mysterious paper delivered by a yellow cat at his door. At first Gary did not care much about the paper, but after a while he realized that the paper would change his future completely.

Early Edition is so genially ludicrous, it makes the Windy City look like Fantasy Island.

Series has all-is-possible written all over it, but suspense and a long life don't seem to be in the cards.

It's hard to dislike Early Edition, in part because it makes such good use of its Chicago location, and in part because Chandler was such a perfect lead for this kind of show.

"Groundhog Day" without the humor, it's a good "Twilight Zone" episode. Can it be sustained?

Maybe Early Edition should get a few automatic points for niceness. But it's all a little too creamy-dreamy to have much impact.
