Following the adventures and struggles of Todd, a young miserable guy, who once goes to his work and is shocked by finding out that he is suspect on a murder of a millionaire and lost his job, but by the help of Dirk, a young courageous and intelligent detective who investigates in cases related to supernatural forces, his life turns upside down. In this new season, Todd and Farah are searching for Dirk.

The question of whether or not Dirk Gently succeeds as a show for you is unlikely to change with this new season. It remains the frustrating, creative, eccentric show it's always been.

Whether or not season 2 will be as magical as the land of Wendimoor suggests remains to be seen, but Dirk Gently is certainly off to a strong start.

For those viewers who may have binged the show on Hulu or On Demand though, this will be an exercise in patience. Dirk Gently is a show that is best consumed in bigger chunks, if only to get to these connections faster.
