The third season is complemented by dramatic events at the wedding in Southfork, where Afton, Ray and Lucy appear to be coming back. At the wedding, the only missing person will be the groom, John Ross, who is trying to reach an agreement with the family's adversary. In a short while, Christopher returns from Mexico to witness more new tracks in Nicolas and Elena's relationship and to surprise him.

The young bloods played by Henderson, Metcalfe and Jordana Brewster (Elena Ramos) kept it interesting. But, ultimately the bother of keeping up with what was happening at such breakneck speed was more trouble than it was worth.

If things feel a little contrived, or a lot contrived, that's hardly a first for the show. They're also tangled and messy and dastardly with a real shot at becoming sordid. That's a good start.

I loved that they opened with Bobby visiting the family grave site and that he still talks to Mama.
