Though constructed from off-the-rack tropes and predictable dialogue, the show also keeps moving forward, causing its characters enough trouble that you feel compelled to stick around at least to see how they get out of it.June 19, 2013
It's all fairly preposterous, but there's enough going on through the show to maintain our interest.June 25, 2013
Designed for sales in as many markets as possible around the world, it's a financial consideration more than a creative venture, and it's a boring one at that. Don't bother.June 22, 2013
There's potentially a very interesting show about cops from different cultures, with different methods of policing, learning to work together. Based on the pilot Crossing Lines just treats all that as window dressing for the same old, same old.June 25, 2013
Crossing Lines tells a satisfying story of the hunt for an international serial killer, but it is so clumsy in its efforts to set up an emotional payoff that it probably shouldn't have tried at all.June 19, 2013
This bit of international cooperation is clearly motivated more by circumstances (and the prospect of sharing production costs) than inspiration.June 23, 2013
We've seen this show before. Too many times, in fact.June 19, 2013
Crossing Lines isn't breezy enough for a summer diversion. Instead it's ponderous, pretentious and too predictable.July 06, 2013
The series, undeservedly getting thumped in the ratings so far, is a polished procedural with a sophisticated atmosphere.June 23, 2013
The team is a colorful group, plus Fichtner is a wonderful leading man. The show also has a feeling of more of a cable show than a network show.
