The Black Dahlia
This film is based on a true story of the murder of the ambitious actress Elisabeth Short, known as the Black Dahlia, who was found murdered and torn in a Los Angeles suburb and an attempt by two police officers to uncover the circumstances of the crime... Strangely, she was aspiring to her name and image in all the media and This is indeed what happened, but it is a dead body.

An over indulgent and often confusing stab at film noir, The Black Dahlia leaves little to be desired as director Brian De Palma continues to prove that his best days are behind him.
