Struggling against taken as hostages in the live show by a business man who has lost all his money, Lee Gates, an arrogant TV financial program show, who through his show, follows the last updates of shares and stocks of exchange, but once during the live show, have been taken as hostages with his producer.

The pieces would seem to be in place, but ... "Money Monster" is a stodgy, moribund plodder loaded with stock characters that wouldn't have felt edgy in 1983 and has about the same contemporary urgency as your average late-night rerun of "CSI: NY."
