The Cape - Season 1
The series explores more action around Vince Faraday, an honest policeman working for a corrupt police force. There is a series of murders taking place, where Faraday must leave his wife and son hiding anywhere in order to protect them. Faraday deals with various murders as he tries to become his son's favorite comic book hero, The Cape, after being trained by a dangerous gang leader.

The outline of the story could be interesting if it were simply slowed down a bit and balance the cheesy and the charming more in a way that 'Chuck' proved possible.

Marked by logical elisions, word-balloon dialogue and conveniently located plot holes though it may be, this is a machine for putting its heroes in tight spaces and watching them kick their way free, and it does its work efficiently and with flair.

Cartoonish while also straining to be taken very seriously, NBC's big ticket mid-season series needs both a sedative and a sense of direction.

The Cape delivers...a thoroughly entertaining viewing experience, with solid action scenes, a terrific score and an intriguing plot paced so quickly, you'll feel as if you're watching a visual representation of a graphic novel.

The Cape is never as gripping as it probably should be. The name of the hero is dumb, and the concept feels stale, combining drab crime drama elements with comic book genre fare.
