In Fox-Animation terms, they played out like a bad-idea Frankenstein mish-mash of King of the Hill's leisurely pacing and Family Guy's hyperkinetic plotting.

Whatever the case may be, there are some strong laughs to be found here; the animation seems to help bring this unusual little universe to life more effectively than live-action.

If you were reduced to hysterical laughter by the concept of herbal breast-enlargement cream in the film, you will likely be so again by the superpower-conveying acne medicine in the TV show.
