There is no pretending here: Friends with Benefits is getting buried. It's a deserved fate, as Neustadter and Weber failed to establish any of the necessary characteristics of a successful sitcom in the pilot.

Some television shows get buried. Friends With Benefits was shot in the back of the head, driven to the Meadowlands and dumped in a ditch.

Not to say it's awful, but it doesn't have enough of the goods to have any real staying power. "Goods" being good characters, good jokes, and good plots.
