The Quiet Man
After accidentally killing an opponent in the ring, boxer Sean Thornton leaves America and returns to his native Ireland, hoping buy his family's homestead and live in peace. However, what he finds there is love, and constant turmoil.

The film's saucy mix of comedy and melodrama is one of its greatest charms, although it can give you whiplash from time to time, especially if you're not used to Ford's brand of broad, back-slapping comedy
