The Money Pit
In that story, there appear to be many comedies that speak of the lawyer Walter Fielding and his musician Anna Crowley. Both men and women seem to agree to buy a rural property outside the city and are available at a very low price, which may be quite surprising. In this bad house, it soon becomes clear why, when the doors slip from their joints, stairs are rolling and there is no water or contents. Maybe in the end they both discover that this house is very bad.

Silly but engaging.

Sometimes having the right actors in the movie can make or break it....thankfully, Hanks and Long are good
August 26, 2004
Slapstick comedy about the problems that come with a couple's purchase of a dilapidated suburban house.
February 22, 2003
A stop-and-go feature that would kill as a short.
July 19, 2004
Lacklustre star comedy.
February 25, 2006
...enhanced by Hanks' increasingly hysterical and appropriately broad performance.
June 20, 2004
Memorably hilarious, with ace work by the two leads.
