Iris, who lives in England, is in love with a man who is about to marry another woman. Across the globe, in USA, Amanda realizes the man she lives with has been unfaithful. Two women troubled with guy-problems swap homes in each other';s countries, where they each meet a local guy and fall in love.

My reaction to The Holiday was no different from my reaction to Meyers' other pieces. It's cute enough, the atmosphere is sufficiently romantic comedy-like, but somehow, for some reason, I just don't bond with it.
