The Breaks
The Breaks follows three friends who are united by their love of hip-hop work to make their big mark in the music industry. The film will travel viewers back to the summer of 1990 in New York City where the music industry’s artists and hustlers intersect in the dance clubs and the street corners of the still crime-ridden city.

The Breaks is hilarious, well acted, and speaks not only to 20-somethings, but to anyone who ever had a dream, and did everything in their power to try and achieve it.

It's an affectionate, determinedly credible period piece with lightly fictionalized versions of people and places from the era.
