The film begins with a series of exciting and funny situations. Events start on the weekend, and the following are the few fun days in rural Ireland where Stags find themselves lost, shooting, throwing stones and betraying. The journey is fun and warm to the heart of friendship, fear and male bonds. Will they continue to enjoy this holiday without causing any disturbance to their mood?

The stripped down, character centric antics of The Stag are admirable (especially considering the stigma of the bachelor party movie subgenre), though one can't help but to think that a tad more outlandishness would have done it some good.
