Emmett and Nell were working at a newspaper in New York. After they had a supper and they appeared to like one another, Emmett all of a sudden vanished saying nothing to Nell. This thing gave Nell the motivation to compose a fruitful sentimental book. Things change when they meet each other again in Christmas at the main residence of Emmett, Springdale.
