Rat Race
Six ordinary people fight against each other more powerful challenges through a powerful contest, which will be a big prize placed in a closet hundreds of miles away. The businessman and his wealthy friends monitor each contestant to track every true favorite, as the only rule in this race is that there are no rules at all.

An overheated, underdone farce.

Manic, messy, and for the most part silly, this road comedy marks Zucker's bumpy return to the genre after a number of equally bumpy dramas such as First Knight.

A few decent running gags ... and an ocean of bad ones.
January 06, 2002
Fitfully amusing farce.

Race, which delights in bashing all manner of transportation, hits its silly stride early and never shifts into a higher gear.
