A complete loser whose son is completely disappointed in him, Larry Daley. He finds a job at Natural History museum. Soon he discovers the truth about the museum that comes to life and it is all because of a magical stone which is too precious, Hence a group of criminals try to steal the worthy stone. However, Larry along with his son and the characters of museum saves the day.

This is a good example of Hollywood commercial calculation that actually pays off with a few entertainment dividends. It all seems very cold and calculated, and yet the film still turns out to be decently entertaining.
