For all the ridiculous and extreme pranks that Jane and Chut get up to just to annoy each other, there is still a sense of realism to their kinship.

For all its silly gags and melodramatic plotting, Brother of the Year does surprise with a poignant second half that stretches the brother-sister bond to breaking point.
