All About Steve
Mary Horowitz, a beautiful girl with a crossword puzzle, imagines she fell in love with Steve, a well-known news photographer. Mary is convinced that she and Steve are completely separate. The reporter encouraged Mary to follow Steve around the country in an attempt to win his love. In the end, Mary endorses a variety of non-positives who accept her on the journey that seems quite strange, leading her to reassess her reasons.

Packaged as a romantic comedy but devoid of comedy or romance, this baffling train wreck stars Sandra Bullock as a tediously kooky constructor of crossword puzzles for a Sacramento newspaper.May 28, 2013
It's so bad, you might feel a little sorry for Bullock -- but don't take pity on her. Watching All About Steve will only make you feel worse.May 28, 2013
Mary's supposed to be a plucky free spirit, but mostly she's a chatty bore who's emotionally clueless.May 28, 2013
Kooky? Hardly. Cringing? Most assuredly.May 28, 2013
Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy review.May 28, 2013
Bullock, as both co-producer and star, makes sure All About Steve sparkles with easy laughs.September 10, 2009
[A] refreshingly quirky comedy.May 28, 2013
Just when it seems All About Steve couldn't grow any more insufferable, it turns strangely sentimental.May 28, 2013
All About Steve is a messy assemblage of clumsy sight gags, winking reaction shots and disingenuous populist genuflection to the idea that there's no such thing as normal. We all see a little bit of Mary in ourselves, don't we? Don't we?January 15, 2010
Mary is a memorable comic creation for all the wrong reasons: glibly written, offensively characterised and bizarrely dressed, she's the classic screwball ditz taken to grotesque and at times unwatchable extremes.
