Adventures in Babysitting (1987)
It is the story that sparked a big debate as it talks about the teenager Chris Parker who prefers to celebrate one day. Everything changes as her lover breaks her date, and at that moment she reluctantly accepts to please Brad and Sarah Anderson and their devastating neighbor in the sex Darrell. In the end, when her friend Brenda breaks up with her in the downtown bus station, Chris, Brad, Sara and Darrell enter the parents' coach on a trip to the inner city for a new experience.

Seemed fun at the time, in '87, but dates badly. Still, kids might like it.

The light tone, classical style, and Shue as Sandra Dee stand-in are more indicative of a cinematic mindset from approximately 25 years earlier.

By the end of the film, I'd had a couple of real laughs and a few interesting moments, but that was about all.

Like "Home Alone," "Adventures in Babysitting" is a lightweight comic adventure, but it's effective in what it sets out to do . . . and that's entertain.

The direction is fast-paced, the characters are vulnerable and sympathetic and even the bad guys have their moments.
