Trey Glauser despite being very small in stature and crippled by osteogenesis imperfecta, brittle bone disease, was a giant of a man who was considered a giant by all his friends. And almost everyone who met him considered him a friend. One of his proudest moments was his appearance on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood with his service dog Waffle, where he talked about life living in a wheelchair with his favorite person. His appearance is beloved by disabled people and their families the world over. In 2003 he was called by Roger Christensen to join the office staff of the California Long Beach Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served 2 years of his life to help better the lives of others. Despite being confined to his wheelchair he never stopped serving others, doing outreach, or making everyone laugh. He never took life too seriously and rarely complained. His respectful yet softly snarky attitude never failed to make a difficult situation lighter and more bearable. A few days before his death his wheelchair fell over and threw him breaking almost every bone in his body. He left this world a hero. The world is a sadder place without him in it. Hide
