Sahba Keihani was born in Tehran, Iran. Her father, Bahram Keihani, is a poet and lawyer and her mother, Touba Ghaderi, a philosopher and teacher, who passed away when she was 18. One of her brothers is a musician with whom she recently reunited after 12 years.Sahba was a child actor at the age of 5, when she started acting at Tehran Children Theater Center. She gained her first acting award in her teenage years when she took the second place in a national wide student theater competition. By then she knew that as an artist in her country she will have to face continual restrictions and censorship. Therefore, in the fight for freedom of expression and to pursue her dream of becoming an international actress and director, she left Iran at the age of 19.Sahba resumed her academical studies in Europe. At the same time she worked as a producer and director in a TV Station- WAVE TV (broadcast on satellite), where she wrote and directed several satirical program such as 'With Sindbad', The mini-series; 'MAX-POOL' and first ever produced 'Persian Superstar'. At the same time, she started to take a keen interest in science fiction. In 2013, her short film 'Shadow of the Stone'- a science fiction story that condemns the stoning to death of women in Iran- won Honorable Mention in Women's Voices Now Film Festival in the United States.In 2014, Sahba moved to the United States and resumed her studies in method acting at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute under the guidance of several theater masters such as Hedy Sontag and Caryn West. Ever since, she has written, directed and acted in several film and TV projects such as eight times award winner, 'Station Mythah', Better Things on FX and CBS's TV Show SEAL Team.
