Karla With a K is a professional performer--actress and voiceover artist-- and an avid member of SAG-AFTRA.She's worked as a Radio Personality at Virginia State University's WVST, Hampton University's WHOV, R former Magic 99FM WPLZ and the historic, but now defunct 103.9 & 98.3FM, KACE in Los Angeles, CA.Before joining SAG or AFTRA (and before the merger) in Los Angeles and adopting her union moniker, Karla With a K, she worked as Karla Antoinette, a Radio Personality and Public Affairs Director at Virginia State University's 91.3 WVST and at Magic 99FM, Richmond, VA. She also had a brief stint at Hampton University's 88.1FM, WHOV, Hampton, VA.Karla prides herself as being a consummate Interviewer! Her curiosity and propensity to ask questions feeds her in-depth, no holds barred interviews.She hosted numerous Talk Shows on Public Access in Los Angeles, at the end of the 20th century.As a media personality in the Richmond/Petersburg, VA area and Los Angeles, CA, she has interviewed celebrities, musicians, authors, performers, community leaders and politicians on TV and radio.She's also hosted, emceed and moderated numerous concerts, civic panels and comedy shows.In Los Angeles, CA, she emceed at popular venues, including the historic Shrine Auditorium, the Wiltern Theatre, Maverick's Flat and, as a lover of comedy and KACE radio personality she hosted The Comedy Store's "Guy Torry's Phat Tuesdays."
